As someone who had danced from a young age, I was incredibly lucky to be given the opportunity to do it as my job for a few years, whilst seeing a little bit of the world. When it became time to hang up my "New Yorkers" I had already decided I wanted to start teaching in the fitness industry.
Having been a member of my local gym in between working away, I had loved attending all the aerobics & legs|bum|tums style classes and this was what inspired me to train as an "Exercise to music" instructor.
In January 2003 I moved from my home town in Lancashire to the City of Bath and began teaching good old Aerobics & Body Conditioning classes. I soon realised I wanted to expand my knowledge & skills to be able to help people, so I started working towards becoming a Personal Trainer.
Over the years I have gained various qualifications & experience for both Studio Classes & 1-1 training. My most recent being Mat Pilates, Pilates for Orthopedic conditions and Pilates Pre/Post Natal. All of these courses have expanded my knowledge and understanding of the body and allowed me to help people with certain injuries/conditions and postural problems.
